ESSENtiAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES − Work with ECAD Manager and/or projectmanager to provide information that willaid in the initial quotingprocess. − Provide Document Control with a completedesign package consisting of data and documentation prior to production launch. − Workconcurrently with other Design Services departments, Business Unit Management,Manufacturing, Test, Purchasing, and Quality departments through the designphase of a program. Work to provide adesign that not only meets the customer’s criteria, but is also of highquality, cost effective, and manufacturable. − Supportproduction discrepancies by incorporating fixes into subsequent revisions in atimely manner. − Communicateand clarify engineering queries from PCB vendor. − Recordall ideas, sketches, and pertinent conversations in Design Engineering approvedLog Book or Lab Notebook. − UseSPC data collected in production in subsequent programs to ensure continuingimprovement in designs. − Assignedto projects of diverse scope, where analysis of situation or data requires anevaluation of identifiable factors. − Exercisesjudgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methodsand techniques for obtaining solutions. − Stayabreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide designs that arecompetitive and cost effective. − Lead a small group of team onproject basis; assist team members, conduct peerreview for the designs ifrequired. − Drive all the stakeholders inthe board release review and process for thorough and timely feedback, to ensurehigh quality and timely board release − Adhereto all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this positionand as directed by supervisor. Comply and follow all procedureswithin the company security policy MINIMUMR EQUIREMENTS − Bachelor or equivalent − Min.8 yearsPCB layout experiences − Beknowledgeable on high speed PCB design − Good understanding for Power, EMC and SI − Befamiliar with different assembly process, know how it impacts the PCB design − Enterprise level server/storage, telecom, networking product designexperiences isa plus − Befamiliar with Mentor Expedition design tools, Min. 3 years product designexperiences on it − Cadence Allegro design tools and product design experiences isa plus − Abilityto read, analyze, and interpret datasheets, application notes,design guidelines, incorporate all the design requirements from differentaspects into layout tool constraints. LANGUAGE SKILLS − Abilityto read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professionaljournals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. − Abilityto write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. − Abilityto effectively present information and respond to questions from groups ofmanagers, clients, customers, and the general public. − Fluent written and spoken English required. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS − Abilityto work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statisticalinference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. − Ability to apply concepts such as fractions,percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY − Abilityto define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. − Ability to interpret anextensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form anddeal with several abstract and concrete variables. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demandsdescribed here are representative of those that must be met by a team member tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work effectively under pressurewith constantly changing priorities and deadlines. Individual may be required to sit, stand,walk regularly. Be accessible toproduction floor and office staff and to use required office equipment. Specific vision requirements include readingof written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environmentcharacteristics described here are representative of those an employeeencounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Individual’sprimary workstation is located in the office area, with some time spent eachday on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in this environment ranges fromlow to moderate.
