例如,我习惯使用Fluke 196C;
虽然已经过时,但它与U1600系列的技术和价格相当;
当然,U1620A显示器本身质量更好;
我计划将一个临时的3 V电池与旧电池并联(串联一个5-10k电阻),同时拆下并更换硬币;

Hi Al,
I understand your point of view, but I still think it's more about a cheaper business policy.
For example, I'm used to work with a Fluke 196C; while obsolete, it's quite comparable to the U1600 series for technology and price; neverthless, a full service manual is available with detailed troubleshooting and calibration procedures and complete schematic diagrams.
BTW, I also find the Fluke more user-friendly: it switches on immediately while the U1620 requires about one whole minute to boot up, the multimeter is much more usable (responsive) and the display -IMHO- is a little bit more readable despite of the lower resolution.
Of course, the U1620A display itself has much better quality; the main reason why I switched to the Agilent/Keysight device was my need for a much deeper memory buffer.
To get back in topic, i just ordered a Panasonic CR-1220/HFN coin cell (I'm not able to read the original battery marking because it's covered by the tab: here is where a good service manual would have been useful).
A BR-1220 should be a little better suited, but I couldn't find one readily available.
I plan to connect a temporary 3 V cell in parallel to the old one (with a 5-10k resistor in series) while removing and replacing the coin; this because it looks like the low residual cell voltage is still enough to keep some data (e.g., the RTC date didn't go lost).
Any suggestion is welcome.
Regards,
Lucio.
