I was never in favor of the current method of power leveling on PNA-X for IP3 measurement ( the vector correction is grate, but power leveling... ehh).
1. I will recommend to put 16dB attenuator between jumper J10 & J11 - that will balance the loss of the coupler, and also set both sources (1& 2) in similar power condition - I better have two bad sources than one good and the other bad. I think 16dB attenuator also should improve coupler (combiner) isolation ( Dr_ Joel, you probably wave in about that if that is true or not).
2. The current initial power leveling is perform using power meter for each source with combiner enable. I think that it is not necessary.
When we develop our own IMD test program on PNA-X I come out with the idea that only one source need to be level for all needed frequencies ( RF1, RF2, 2*RF1-RF2, 2*RF2-RF1 and any other frequencies if you need (IM2 and so on) with *combiner disable.* During the leveling include the reference receiver calibration(in case you need to measure Input IM3 - I am doing that by default) and set the both sources to Low band High Power mode (filter disable) in path configuration. After that you calibrate the B receiver for all above frequencies.
3. Now you switch on the combiner and enable B receive RX leveling for source 1 & 2 and set propel offset for the sources.
I summing that you amp have enough gain to overcome the loss when the combiner is switch ON. If not you probably could add another Aplifier (same model
