I'm currently playing around with U2722A power supply.
There is a good chance this supply will replace our aging old power supplies.
Our exis
ting test software and power supplies have a routine check to see whether the supply reached current limit or not during the measurement.
Is there any easy way to do this check with U2722A?
I had a look programming manual but could not get any clue.
I would guess that the status register would have a bit for this, but didn't find any in the manual either. I did find a function for setting a current limit so it's really strange that this limit isn't watched by anything, other then letting it be passed.
Yes, that is exactly what I have found.
It is strange as this supply is a quite new product.
I guess I have to implement some algorithm to detect current limit status but all of the Keysight (Agilent back then..) supplies I have used before had this function already implemented within unit.
