Hi Bo:
I should have posted earlier about this. I actually did wind up making one for myself.
It turns out the 85033C cal kit that I purchased did have the plastic part for the female
open but was missing the metal pin at the end. I also had on hand an open, short and
load from an 85033D kit that I entered into the USER KIT. I calibrated the VNA using the
USER KIT standards, then scrounged around for a female center pin from an old SMA
connector I had on hand. Then measured the length of the center pin and judiciously
filed down the center pin length to get the required OFFSET LENGTH. Final adjustment
was using a lapping stone to get the OFFSET LENGTH right on. Since I'm only using this
cal kit and analyzer to 3 GHz I believe it be good enough. I wanted to use the "stored"
cal kit values for 3.5mm in the VNA rather than have to define a new USER KIT. I've got
all the other cal kits that are defined in the firmware for the 8753C so just wanted to be
compatible. Thanks again for suggestions.
