Just make sure that the + lead is connected to the Hi channel terminal and the - lead is connected to the Lo terminal. I'm not sure what your problem might be without getting a full description of the of the problem symptoms. Connecting the TC wire with the wrong polarity will definitely give you out-of-range readings because the 34980A will be seeing a negative voltage on the channel. The other thing, you need to know is to be sure you have the correct reference junction type set. You most likely want to use the internal reference junction on the 34921T. The default type is "FIXed" which would be what you would use if you wanted higher accuracy and had a good ice bath or other fixed temperature reference. The command you need to sent is [SENSe:]TEMPerature:TRANsducer:TCouple:RJUNction:TYPE [, (@)], where the source parameter is "INTernal". |
