Future versions of this program may eliminate this limitation. Operation is simple and, if used often, it is recommended that it be called as a macro (for convenience.) You can place the executable anywhere on the PNA, although C:Program FilesAgilentNetwork AnalyzerDocuments is recommended. Setup the PNA as needed and make sure the active trace is the measurement for which you want the limit line. Run the program. You can then enter any dB or SWR values desired depending upon the selection chosen. Switching between SWR and dB will also perform a handy conversion, although accuracy is limited to 2 or 3 decimal places. Conversions are clamped at -199 dB and SWR of 1999. Click on Begin and the limit line will be displayed. A small window will be displayed on the lower left of the PNA window. To change the limit, click on Setup. To toggle the limit on or off, click on the ON/off button. If you need to change the number of points of the sweep, you will get a warning that the memory is no longer valid and the limit line will disappear. To re-display the limit using the new number of points, simply double-click on the blank area of the form (the area just to the right of the Setup button.) If used as a macro, you can specify the starting value of the limit line by providing a runtime parameter in either of these two sample formats: For a dB limit of -13.98dB, use a runtime parameter of: /DB-13.98 For a SWR limit of 1.5, use a runtime parameter of: /SWR1.5 When used as a macro with runtime parameters, the limit line is immediately drawn with no intervening Setup window shown.
