I am trying to work out the best/easiest way to define a waveguide cal kit that has the following properties * lamba/8 offset short * 3*lamba/8 offset short * sliding load. I suspect that trying to modify the simplest kit would be a struggle, but the following *might* work and be the most painless way. 1) Start with an 85052B, which is 3.5 mm kit with sliding loads. (Unlike the 85054B N-kit, the coefficients are the same for males and females on the 3.5 mm kit) 2) Modify the offset delay of an short to be the offset delay of the 3*lambda/8 short 3) Modify the offset delay of the open to be be offset delay of the lambda/8 4) Change names of "SHORT" & "OPEN" to "3/8 SHORT" and "1/8 SHORT" 5) Set calibration type to waveguide 6) Set impedance to 1 Ohm 7) Set the cutoff frequency of the waveguide. I want to do this on an 8720D. Can anyone suggest the best way? PS, the 8720 series files are still not right for the X11644A. Dave |
