我使用启动频率按钮(9KHz)调到单元的最低频率,但我没有看到LO(尽管如果调到其他频率并且不断增加量程,你可能会看到LO)。
Tabbot,

Again, thank you for your reply.
I took another look at my SA 893E and for the benefit of other readers I can say this.
I tuned to the lowest frequency of the unit using the start frequency button (9KHz) and I did not see the LO (although you will probably see the LO if you tune to other frequencies and continuously increase the span). Since I did not see the LO at 9 KHz, I can say the unit visually appears to be operating correctly at this setting after running some other quick tests. If someone is using the same SA and inputs a 9 KHz start frequency and sees the LO signal, it would indicate to me that the unit may possibly be damaged. My last statement is not to be considered a complete test to see if my SA is working correctly. I am just offering a "fact", an indicator only, of a "probable condition" if you are seeing the LO at 9 KHz.
Tabbot, I would like to thank you again for your replies. The reason why I asked the questions seeking visual inspection is because, like most techs, I am a leery of taking apart a unit that appears to be working correctly. Anything can happen with the cover off. There is nothing like the sinking feeling you will get if a tiny spark of static electricity happens to damage a component while the cover is off (but you don't know which component at the time) and when you put the cover back on you now discover a real (not potential) problem with the unit. A many thousand dollar unit is now damaged and, worse yet, the damage may have been unnecessarily caused. Instead of fixing a potential problem, you have now caused one, and now you may have two problems to look at, instead of one or none.
There is nothing like the sinking feeling you get in your stomach after blowing many thousands of dollars in an instant and not having any quick remedy available to repair the unit (not many people people have another spectrum analyzers floating rated for the same BW).
Thanks for your reply and I hope you can understand why I sometimes pose questions of this type.
