Has anyone else seen this, know why or how to fix it?
I am running the MRF89XA on battery. The network becomes unusable when the batteries get to about 2.0V and I try to transmit. The issue is the other devices are not able to talk on the channel. It seems the low voltage device is in constant TX.
Nothing is showing up in my ZENA debug. I don't have a spectrum analyzer to check if it truly is in constant TX.
Thing I have tried:
I have put the micro in reset before lowering the voltage. It only blocks the channel when the device tries a TX.
Put
ting the micro in reset after it happens does not clear the issue.
Increasing the voltage clears issue.
Pulling the reset pin high on Radio chip clears issue.
I was thinking of putting a power supervisor IC on the micro MCLR pin. But if it locks up the channel then, the micro can't clear it by pulling the reset line high. I was thinking about reading VCC and if below 2.1V hold the radio in reset.
