This trigger signal will normally trigger both channels A and B if you are using peak power sensors in both channels; for example the E9320 series sensors. If you are in the Continious Trigger mode with External Trigger you should see a rise edge or a falling edge squarewave at the upper center part of the display screen. When the power meter receives a trigger the arrow on the squarewave will move showing that the power meter has been triggered. This trigger signal will trigger both channels as you can't seperate them. However if you have an average sensor such as a N8480 series, or a E9300 or E4410 series connected to the Channel B that channel will stay in Free Run and you will get updates to the display. This is true even if Channel A is not being triggered by the Ext trigger. Did this answer your question or be of any help? |

It should not be doing this. It appears to be a bug in the firmware. We are submitting this issue to the R&D development team for a review.
