They are not designed to be calibrated seperately to create the cal factors. The power sensor will only meet its specification if the body and attenuator are calibrated as a single unit. Any internactions between the body and the attenuator will have an inpact on the measurement accuracy. These interactions are things like: connector repeatability, connector loss, mismatch loss, etc. The RF levels to perform a calibration on this power sensor will vary depending on the tests being performed. But +30 dBm would be a standard power level for this sensor. I would recommend that a metrology lab perform the calibration and performance verificaiton. More tests than just the cal factors needs to be done to ensure that the power sensor is meeting its specifications: zero set, noise, lineratiry, etc. |
