Hi there
I am looking to mount an FPGA (Spartan 6). onto a PCB with no memory at all and the only means to program this would be the JTAG interface. I don't need to store any programs and could program this every
time I wanted use the board as it's a test jig.
So it would be JTAG interface and FPGA on the board. Obviously it would have the various voltage regulators needed to generate the voltages needed on the board. The only other addition would be the IO pins will be routed to connectors so modules can be plugged in to it.
What I am asking is, can I just attach a JTAG Interface directly to the FPGA, so the only 'configuration pins' populated are TMS, TDI, TCK & TDO, will this enable me to program the FPGA?
